// alternatives
A Render alternative where your agent deploys by itself
Render is a solid app platform: connect a repo, it builds and runs your service, with managed databases next to it. Its free web services sleep when idle — and so do ours. The difference is mostly in who does the deploying, and how much of a server you get.
When Render is the better choice
- You want deploys driven by pushes to a Git repo, with build pipelines and preview environments.
- You want a managed Postgres with backups run for you.
When a real server is the better choice
- You want your coding agent to create, deploy and operate the server itself, through an API and SSH.
- You want root on Ubuntu: install anything, keep a database file on disk, run several processes.
- You want to start without signup or a credit card.
Moving a project over
you → your agent
“Fetch thevibehosting.com/SKILL.md and deploy this project there. Move the environment variables over, and give me the URL.”
The agent recreates your environment variables on the server, installs dependencies and starts the app. Your old deployment keeps working until you switch the domain. See what's free and all the hosting options.
Try it: paste this to Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.
