Free hosting for vibe-coded apps. No credit card.
You built it with Claude Code, Cursor or Codex and it works on localhost. Getting it online
shouldn't take a dashboard, a credit card and an afternoon of config files. Paste one prompt to your agent:
it gets a real Ubuntu server with root SSH and a live HTTPS address, and ships your project there.
That's the whole involvement on your side. Your agent reads SKILL.md, creates the server with one HTTP call, copies your project over and tells you the URL.
Prompts for common projects
The short prompt above works for anything. If you want to steer it, these are good starting points:
Fetch thevibehosting.com/SKILL.md, build this site and deploy the static output to /root/www there. Give me the URL.
Fetch thevibehosting.com/SKILL.md and deploy this Python app there. Install the requirements, start it from /root/run.sh on 0.0.0.0:80 so it restarts on crash, and give me the URL.
Fetch thevibehosting.com/SKILL.md and deploy this Node app there. Run it from /root/run.sh on 0.0.0.0:80, and give me the URL.
Fetch thevibehosting.com/SKILL.md, clone this GitHub repo and deploy it there. If it needs a backend or a database, run them on the same server.
Fetch thevibehosting.com/SKILL.md and host this bot there. Keep the token in an env file, not in the code. Help me verify my phone so the server can stay always-on.
Fetch thevibehosting.com/SKILL.md and run this script there every hour with cron. Keep the results in /root/data.
What you get
- A real Linux server — Ubuntu with root access, not a sandboxed function with a time limit. Run any language, a database, a background worker, a WebSocket server.
- HTTPS out of the box on
your-name.thevibehosting.com, or on your own domain. - No signup and no credit card. The first call creates your account and returns an API key.
- Everything persists. Packages you install and files you write survive restarts and sleep.
- Sleeps when idle, wakes on the next request — so a project nobody is using costs next to nothing.
The honest limits
| Anonymous (no signup) | Verified (phone) | |
|---|---|---|
| Free credit, every month | $0.90 | $2.25 — a 512 MB server runs 24/7 free |
| RAM per server | up to 256 MB | up to 2 GB (4 GB once you hold paid credit) |
| CPU | up to 2 cores, always free | |
| Always-on (never sleeps) | no — sleeps when idle, wakes on the next request | yes, optional per server |
| Your own domain | no | yes, up to 3 per server, HTTPS automatic |
| Servers | 2 per network | unlimited |
| Credit card | never required to start | |
After the free credit: RAM $0.005 per GB-hour while the server is awake, outbound traffic $0.10/GB, disk $0.25 per GB-month. No plans, no reserved sizes — you pay for what actually runs.
Bots and workers: a server sleeps after about 10 minutes without incoming traffic. That's fine for websites and APIs — the next visitor wakes it. A Discord bot or a background worker has no visitors, so it needs always-on, which comes with a verified phone. A small bot running 24/7 typically fits inside the free credit.
When this isn't the right fit
- You need a GPU, or more than 4 GB of RAM per server.
- You need contractual SLAs, compliance certifications or a Windows server.
- Your app is purely static and already lives happily on a CDN — then keep it there.
FAQ
Is it really free?
Yes, to start. Every month you get free credit — $0.90 without signup, $2.25 with a verified phone. That covers a 512 MB server running 24/7, or a bigger one that sleeps when idle. You only pay if your project grows past it.
Do I need a credit card?
No. You can create servers without signup or card. A card is only needed if you decide to add paid credit.
What happens when my app is idle?
After about 10 minutes without incoming traffic the server sleeps and its RAM is freed. The next request wakes it in a few seconds. Verified accounts can mark a server always-on instead.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, with a verified phone: point an A or CNAME record at us and HTTPS is issued automatically, up to 3 domains per server.
