// alternatives
A Replit alternative for hosting what your agent builds
Replit bundles an editor, an AI agent and hosting in one browser tab — great if that's where you work. Many people now write code with Claude Code, Cursor or Codex on their own machine instead. They don't need another editor; they need somewhere to run what they built.
When Replit is the better choice
- You want to write, run and share code entirely in the browser.
- You use Replit's own agent and want deployment in the same place.
When a real server is the better choice
- You already have a coding agent and want it to deploy by itself, through an API.
- You want root on a normal Ubuntu server: system packages, any language, a database on disk.
- You want to start without signup or a credit card and pay only for the RAM that actually runs.
Moving a project over
you → your agent
“Fetch thevibehosting.com/SKILL.md and deploy this project there. Move the environment variables over, and give me the URL.”
The agent recreates your environment variables on the server, installs dependencies and starts the app. Your old deployment keeps working until you switch the domain. See what's free and all the hosting options.
Try it: paste this to Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.
